St Oliver’s Scout Group, Drogheda, has thanked the many golfers, local businesses and supporters who helped make the fifth annual Willie Reilly Memorial Golf Classic another great success.

Held at Seapoint Golf Links on Friday, 7 th August, the event brought together teams from across the area for a day of golf in memory of Willie Reilly, a much-loved Scout Leader whose years of service and dedication had a lasting impact on generations of young people in Drogheda.

This year’s winning team was led by Aidan Taaffe, alongside Ollie Kelly, Tadgh Kelly and Kevin Lowry. Andrew Meegan claimed the Longest Drive prize, while JP Carroll was the winner of Nearest the Pin.

Thanks to the generosity of sponsors, players, and raffle entries, the event raised much-needed funds for St Oliver’s Scout Group, helping the group continue to provide outdoor adventures, skills development, and opportunities for young people in the local community.

The Scout Group would like to sincerely thank headline sponsor Greenmount House, all of the teams who took part, and the many businesses and individuals who supported the event.

Tee sponsors were Rugbytots, P. Townleys, Drogheda Port, Jack Doran Motors, Donnelly Civil Engineering, Hurley Brothers, Irish Cement, Friends of Willie, Drogheda Credit Union, Steven Burton, Robbie Burton, David Burton, Ergo Furniture, CAC, MD Construction, Grand Designs, Peter Pan Crèche & Montessori and Cassidy Couriers.
