Louth County Council hereby gives notice of its decision to close:
the Carlingford Lough Greenway from a point 650m Northwest of its junction with Local
Road L7051 to a point 2.4km Southeast of Victoria Lock
to pedestrian and cyclist traffic at all times from Tuesday 1 st September 2026 until Sunday 28 th February 2027 to facilitate major works at Narrow Water Bridge.
The closure, which is to facilitate works at Narrow Water Bridge, will maintain traffic via Fathom Line and R179 Newry Road and L7051.
Local access and emergency access will be maintained.
Diversion Route North: Northbound Traffic will be diverted via L7051, along R179 and Fathom Line to Victoria Lock.
Diversion Route South: Southbound Traffic will divert via the Fathom Line and R179, onto L7051 to the access to the Greenway.
