Hundreds took part in the event while crowds lined the streets to cheer them on, with the Little Legends Dash also bringing plenty of energy to the town centre.

Drogheda City Now has launched a new “Coffee for C Drogheda City Now has launched a new “Coffee for Carers” campaign to thank healthcare workers across Drogheda, Louth, and Meath.

Members of the public can leave messages of support online, with free coffees available for frontline healthcare staff at participating cafés.

Drogheda Brass Band has been crowned national cham Drogheda Brass Band has been crowned national champions once again after winning Section One Brass at the National Brass Band Championships of Ireland.

The victory marks the band’s fifth consecutive national title and their 17th overall.

Rithim Na Bóinne will take place across three town venues this July, featuring local and touring acts, live music, and an after-party in Earth Nightclub.

Organisers hope the festival will become an annual event for Drogheda.

Oliver is described as being approximately 6 foot 2 in height, of strong build, with black hair.

Gardaí and Oliver’s family are concerned for his wellbeing.

Anyone with information on Oliver’s whereabouts is asked to contact Drogheda Garda Station on (041) 987 4200, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111, or any Garda station.

Students from St Ciaran’s Secondary School joined Students from St Ciaran’s Secondary School joined Mornington Tidy Towns and Clean Coasts for a beach clean between Mornington and Bettystown.

More than 23kg of litter was collected, including a crisp packet dating back to 1995.

The day also included talks and activities focused on protecting the coastline.
