The HSE has confirmed that Drogheda’s Cottage Hosp The HSE has confirmed that Drogheda’s Cottage Hospital will remain open and all services will continue following days of concern over the future of its 14 transitional care beds.The announcement comes after sustained pressure from staff, unions, local campaigners and public representatives including Senator Alison Comyn, Deputy Paula Butterly and Deputy Ged Nash.However, the HSE has also confirmed that a review of the beds is now underway.Deputy Nash described the decision as a “stay of execution” and says a planned protest at the Cottage Hospital will still go ahead on Monday at 1.30pm.Full story below 👇 https://droghedalife.com/hse-says-cottage-hospital-will-remain-open-as-review-of-14-beds-begins/
