Habitat for Humanity officially launched its social enterprise, Habitat ReStore in Drogheda earlier today, bringing together staff, volunteers and local people to celebrate.
ReStore is the low-cost DIY store that builds sustainable community, directly tackling poverty in Ireland by enabling local people to improve their home at low cost.
Stores also provide skills and employability training for people of ages, backgrounds and abilities and divert tons of reusable material from landfill.
The ReStore and donation centre is open 9.30am-5pm, Tuesday–Saturday at Unit 8 Donore Industrial Park, Donore Road, Drogheda.

Building on the success of four Habitat ReStores in Northern Ireland, ReStore Drogheda will deliver real impact for local people and the wider community in Louth.
Jenny Williams, Habitat’s Chief Executive, said: “We are delighted to open Habitat ReStore in Drogheda and want to thank all those who have helped us get this far.
“ReStore is uniquely connected to Habitat’s mission; supporting people, the community and the environment so it is appropriate that we launch the first ReStore in the Republic on Earth Day.
“Everything we sell is donated and we are looking forward to building strong partnerships with companies, local organisations, churches and individuals which are so critical to ReStore’s success. Together we can build sustainable community.”
