Bettystown Bards launch local Write Nights

Creativity Is Intelligence Having Fun!

If you’ve ever dreamt or even had a vague notion that you would like to write, be sure to drop into the Meath Coast Writers Guild in the Coast Tavern in Laytown, County Meath at 7 pm on the 15th August.

Local author Harry Toye and much-travelled, octogenarian poet, Des Parkinson, the Bard of Bettystown, are introducing an informal group for adult writers or aspiring writers of all ages, all abilities, beginners or professionals alike.

Budding writers are encouraged and supported, while veteran writers can share successes and challenges.

“Putting your own words on a page, whether it’s poetry, a short story or a novel, to enter the reader’s mind and allow them to share the thoughts, emotions and lives of your characters is a wonderfully satisfying and rewarding experience” said Harry Toye.

All are welcome at 7.00 pm on Monday, August 15th, at the Coast Tavern, Laytown.
