First ever youth music festival at Boomerang at the end of the month

The Basement Sounds Project at the Boomerang Youth Café has been doing great work in recent years introducing young people to the joy of making music and now they have organised their first ever youth music festival!

“Boomapalooza is a youth music festival taking place July 30th, 2pm-9pm at Boomerang Youth Cafe, 62 Fair Street, Drogheda and this is our first ever youth music festival!” said organiser Sean Mc Cluskey .

“On the day there will be two stages, Main Stage and Basement Stage featuring young bands from all over Louth and Meath, delicious festival food, graffiti artists, outdoor seating area and face-painting.

“The festival is exclusively for young people aged 10-18. The last two years has affected how young musicians interacted with one another, with the forming of new bands and musical friendships curtailed by the pandemic.

“Our music initiative Basement Sounds has been working closely with young artists and musicians throughout the year and we are really excited to showcase all these young and talented artists!”

“Special thanks to Louth County Council, Cllr Maeve Yore and Cllr Paddy Mc Quillan for their support. See you all July 30th”

Tickets are on sale from Boomerang Youth Cafe reception now for €10. Come get yours early to avoid disappointment as there is limited capacity at the venue.
