Local primary school students took part in a colouring competition to celebrate ReStore’s first birthday in Drogheda!
Over 450 pupils, from 15 primary schools in the Drogheda area took part in a colouring competition reently to celebrate ReStore’s first birthday on the Donore Industrial Park.
ReStore is Habitat Ireland’s social enterprise, directly tackling poverty here in Ireland. By selling donated new and used building supplies and home improvement materials ReStore enables local people to improve their homes at low cost. ReStore provides skills and employability training for people of all ages and backgrounds and diverts tons of reusable waste from landfill.
ReStore Drogheda Manager, Andy Drummond, said, “Thank you to all the pupils who took part in the competition, it was amazing to see the creativity of the young people in our area. There were so many wonderful entries, our staff and volunteers had a tough job narrowing it down to the winners and runners-up in each category.”
“We so much appreciate the support of the local community since we opened in Drogheda last year, and look forward to having more impacts locally in the future.”
