The biggest TV reality show of the year, Traitors Ireland which was filmed in Slane Castle, will begin on RTE One and the RTE Player at the end of the month on Sunday, August 31 next.
The smash hit series was recorded inside and on the grounds of the historic Castle in secrecy last March and April.
It is expected to give Slane Castle worldwide exposure as people across the globe can tune in.
RTE is hoping the show, a spin off from its hugely successful UK counterpart, will be a ratings winner.
Traitors Ireland features a group of strangers arriving at the Castle for the very first time with one mission – to win the 50,000 euros prize money without getting murdered or banished.
The series is hosted by Siobhan McSweeney, is addictive viewing and features intrigue, betrayal , backstabbing, chaos and skullduggery of the highest order.
And just like I’M A Celeb,there will be an aftershow called Traitors Ireland Uncloaked which will be presented by Kevin McGaharn from the RTE Limerick Studios.
The finale of the Traitors UK had a record audience of over eight million viewers.
RTE are hoping they can hit the million mark.
