Sacred Heart Secondary School to host fundraising coffee morning and bake sale

Sacred Heart Secondary School will host a fundraising event on Friday, 8 May, inviting the wider community to come together in support of a worthy cause.

The school’s annual bake sale and coffee morning will take place in the school gym from 8.15am to 1.30pm. Parents, friends and members of the public are all welcome to attend, enjoy refreshments and sample baked goods prepared by students.

This year, funds raised will go towards Oscars Kids Ireland, a national childhood cancer charity. The school has chosen to support the charity once again in memory of past pupil Ziva Sheehy Cussen, who passed away in January. The cause also holds personal significance for members of staff.

Some of the proceeds will also contribute to upgrades of the school’s Home Economics facilities.

New to this year’s event is a Wheel of Fortune, offering attendees the chance to win prizes. A raffle will also take place on the day, with tickets available to purchase at the event.

The school is encouraging local businesses and members of the community to contribute prizes or donations, which can be dropped into the school office during the week or arranged by contacting info@sacredheart.ie.

Organisers say they are looking forward to welcoming everyone to the gym on Friday morning and have thanked staff, students and the wider community for their continued support and generosity.
