Celebrating Louth’s Women in Enterprise
The 2024 Network Louth Businesswoman of the Year awards took place at The Monasterboice Inn, Drogheda, on Friday night, celebrating the remarkable achievements of women in business.
The evening was superbly hosted by Sinead Brassil, who kept the audience engaged and entertained throughout. The keynote address was delivered by Emma Jane Clarke of Martinstown Lodge, an equine-centred coaching and leadership centre that supports people to achieve their true potential.
The awards ceremony featured four categories, each recognizing outstanding contributions and achievements:
The Award for Innovative Businesswoman was presented by Network Ireland National President Linda Codoul, to Andrea McQuillan of Coppertops Digital Marketing who was praised for her agility and forward thinking, supporting her clients to grow and reach their potential.
The Inspirational Businesswoman Award was presented by Brona Grogan of Paycheck Plus, to Marina Branigan of Brava Virtual. Brona’s fellow judges pointed out that while Marina offers one-to-one operations support for business owners, what she actually does is she creates space for the development of connection, creativity and collaboration.
Pamela Kerr of Local Enterprise Office Louth presented the Creative Brand Champion award to artist and designer Caroline Duffy who has created a stunning range of hand-painted floral silk dresses, kimonos, scarves, woven blankets and art prints. Judges recognised that Caroline has developed a strong brand with great potential and focus on sustainability.
The Networker of the Year award was presented by AIB’s Sarah Boylan to Hanna McDonnell of Hanna McDonnell Marketing. The judges recognised that Hanna is an expert at supporting business owners to develop and implement effective marketing strategies. With a passion for networking, they believe that she embodies the values of Network Ireland and promotes them regionally, nationally and internationally.
Hanna will have the honour of representing the Louth branch at the Network Ireland National Awards on 27th September at Lyrath Estate Hotel, Kilkenny.
Network Louth proudly partnered with the Alzheimer Society of Ireland for this event, with Noel Heeney of Tredagh Lodge representing the charity. This partnership underscores the commitment of Network Louth to supporting vital causes.
