Drogheda United can confirm that midfielder Luke Heeney is to leave the club after a seven year spell in claret and blue.
The 26-year-old joined the club ahead of the 2019 season from St. Patrick’s Athletic, and made 199 competitive appearances in all competitions.
The Bellewstown native scored four goals during his time with the club, including the second goal against Cabinteely on the final day of the 2020 season to seal the First Division title and promotion back to the Premier Division.
