Ace AC have had an abundance of young Athletes gaining international recognition over the past few years and Lorcan Forde Dunne is the latest in a long list!
This coming Saturday March 23rd, fresh from his recent championship best performance at the Leinster indoor championships, Lorcan will perform for the first time in a green jersey. He will be representing Ireland Schools.
His debut international will be on home soil in the Sport Ireland Campus in Dublin in the 2024 Cross Country SIAB’s. Lorcan will be representing St Marys Diocesan School.
Making the day even more special will be the fact that two more Ace AC athletes, Sholah Lawernce and Eimear Cooney will also compete for Ireland schools on the day.
Sholah, a former national schools champion and Eimear, a regular on national schools podiums, will run against each other, with Sholah representing Greenhills School while Eimear running for Sacred Heart School. It will be Eimear’s fifth International and Sholah’s second.
All three athletes will spend the week ahead preparing with their coaches including Liam Cooney, Paddy Clarke, John Walsh and Cecil O’Donnell before staying in Dublin with their International teammates on Friday.
