One of the highlights of the summer racing calendar is almost here, with the Bellewstown July Festival returning from Thursday, 2 July to Saturday, 4 July. With three days of racing, live entertainment, and family fun, there’s something for everyone on the famous hill. As part of Bellewstown Racecourse’s 300th anniversary celebrations, the party continues on Sunday, 5 July with a Country Music Xtravaganza.
The festival gets underway on Thursday with the Summer Social Evening, offering the perfect opportunity for friends, colleagues and groups to enjoy an evening at the races. A range of group packages is available for those looking to make a night of it.
Friday is Ladies Day, when style takes centre stage alongside the racing. This year’s Best Dressed Lady competition features a fantastic prize package thanks to Tankardstown House, Wellness at the Coach House and George Bryan Jewellers.
Saturday is Family Day, packed with entertainment for younger racegoers. Children can experience what it’s like to be a jockey on the RACE race riding simulator, with expert coaching from racing professionals. https://racingacademy.ie/cms/race-mobile-training-unit/
The dedicated Family Zone will also feature face painting, giant Jenga, Connect 4 and plenty of activities to keep children entertained throughout the afternoon. The first 50 children through the gates will also receive a free ice cream.

The celebrations continue on Sunday with the Country Music Xtravaganza. Shane O’Neill and the Mad Ass Mules, Gavin Gribben and Mike Denver will provide a full afternoon of entertainment, with marquee dancing, free parking and children’s activities making it a great day out for all ages.
