Drogheda go into this game off the back of a penalty shootout defeat at home to Shamrock Rovers in the Sports Direct Men’s FAI Cup Quarter-Final last week.
Rovers took the lead after 23 minutes after Mandroiu played in Graham Burke, who finished into the bottom corner.
Drogheda pushed for an equaliser, and found it in the final minute of injury time, as Owen Lambe picked out Andrew Quinn, who produced an acrobatic finish past Ed McGinty to send the game to extra time.
The game remained level after extra time, with the visitors prevailing 5-4 on penalties to progress to the Semi-Final.
The three games between Drogheda and Sligo this season have resulted in two wins for Drogheda at Sullivan & Lambe Park, while the game at The Showgrounds ended 2-2 in May.
In team news, Elicha Ahui (knee) remains ruled out through injury.
