Drogheda will light up tonight, Friday, September 19th, as Culture Night 2025 continues into the late hours with Night Moves, a flagship programme running from 9.45pm until midnight.
Produced by Droichead Arts Centre with support from the Arts Council Culture Night Late Award, the Department of Culture, Sport and Media, Louth County Council’s Night-Time Economy Advisor, and Drogheda Purple Flag, Night Moves will transform the town with light, music, art, books, and markets across unexpected venues and public spaces.
Highlights this evening include:
- Night Pools – Artist Vivienne Byrne’s trail of projections and lanterns celebrating the landscapes of Louth and Meath.
- Late Night Cafés – Live music, opera, and spoken word in Il Forno, Bare Food, Loaf’d, and Coffee Box.
- Night Art – Interactive audio-visual installations curated by Brian Hegarty and Daire Lennon, with a spoken word performance by Dagogo Hart at 10.40pm and an outdoor DJ set at Big Moon Records.
- Night Market – A midnight market in McHugh’s showcasing crafts, art, and music.
- Night Books – Ariosa Coffee transforms into a late-night community bookshop with zines and poetry, including a reading from Dagogo Hart at 10pm.
