Helping Hands, Helping communities, Duleek has confirmed the official schedule for this year’s Team Triathlon 2024. The three categories will consist of volunteers participating in a 50km walk, 50km run or a 100km cycle.
The event begins this year in Portugal on Monday, September 2nd with a volunteer completing a 102km Camino Walk. Our other volunteers in the three categories will also commence their challenge on the same date. On the 22nd September the cycle team will complete a 60km Dublin Cycle Challenge starting in Duleek and finishing in Duleek.
On 19th October they will be holding their Boyneside Leisure Cycle 47km challenge starting at Dolly’s Pub in Rossin at 2.30pm and finishing with complementary refreshments in Dolly’s.
This event is open to members of the public to participate on the day so “DONATE & CYCLE”. No registration required. Donation buckets will be available at the start and it’s a night not to be missed as music at 9pm will be by the wonderful DAWN.
Bikes on trainers will be set up in the pub so customers are invited to cycle a bit and make a donation in aid of the homeless and local charities. Have it said, “YOU CYCLED INSIDE A PUB”!
On 27th October some of the volunteers will participate in the Dublin City Marathon bringing the Team Triathlon 2024 to an official end. They are still inviting participants to take part and sponsorship cards are now available.
“We are also inviting more businesses to come on board to sponsor this event for a great cause, homeless and local charities” said a committee spkesperson. Contact: 089-4833212 or helpinghandsduleek@gmail.com
“Businesses on board to date are: Quinn Construction, Dolly’s Bar, Tarstone Road Maintenance, Blacktop Tarmacadam, John Shiels Coach Hire, Anthony Walsh Painting & Decorating, Blue Star Gem, Blacklion Stores, Cloghertown Sand & Gravel and Whearty Building Contractors.
“Make this event a great success and help us raise much needed funds for vital supplies for the homeless and hopefully put us in a position to donate to local charities like we have being doing for the past four years.”
