Fresh from their success in winning the top prize at the St. Patrick’s Day Parade, the Drogheda LGBTQI Pride organisers have announced details of their “Pride in Our Community” festival which takes place over the weekend of August 5 to 7th with lots of events and educational workshops.
Friday 5th of August
The official launch of Drogheda Pride 2022 with the raising of the Pride flag at Millmount Museum will take place at 12 noon.
At 3.00 pm there will be a Mental Health awareness talk via Zoom
At 8.00 pm the entertainment gets underway in McHugh’s Venue with the
Extravaganza Show time hosted by Phil T Georgous with performances from Onya Becks, Scarlet Mugler, Chrissy Toxcity, a Mizzo TASTY, Music by Kelley McArdle and Dancers, Band by Fuzz Gigolo and DJ till late. Strictly over 18s
Saturday 6th of August
The Pride Parade starts at King Street Car Park at 12.00 noon from where it will make its way over William Street, Duke Street over West Street and finishing at McHugh’s Venue.
At 4.00 pm there will be a transgender awareness workshop via Zoom.
On Saturday night from 8.00 pm is Showtime in McHugh’s Venue.
Hosted by Phil T Georgous, Music by Sparkle Band, performance by Mink Monroe, Ruby Michael’s, Onya Becks and Chrissy Toxicity and DJ Shaunadee till late.
Sunday 7th of August
12.00 to 3.00 pm – Family Fun day at The Old Abbey.
Cher Nigh at Mchugh’s Venue 8pm
