Marta Jedlinska is a Reiki Master, teacher and sound healer based in Drogheda, supporting people across County Louth to slow down, regulate their nervous systems and reconnect with themselves in a world that rarely pauses.
“My practice supports people in regulating their nervous system, finding calm, and reconnecting not only with their bodies, but also with their inner awareness and sense of self,” Marta explains. Through Reiki and sound healing, she supports people on both a physical and emotional level, particularly where stress and emotions are held in the body.
Her approach is deeply rooted in body-based work. Alongside her holistic practice, Marta spent many years in the fitness industry, holding multiple roles at Energy Fitness Drogheda on West Street as a personal trainer, fitness instructor, gym manager and fitness club owner.
“That experience gave me a deep understanding of how stress, pressure and emotional overload manifest physically,” she says. “It also showed me how deeply this affects how people feel, think and relate to themselves.”
From personal healing to professional calling
Marta’s journey into Reiki and sound healing began during a period of emotional overload and high stress in her own life. “I was looking for something that could reach deeper than conversation or traditional relaxation techniques,” she explains. “Reiki and sound healing gave me access to layers of experience I hadn’t reached before, not only supporting my body and wellbeing, but also expanding my self-awareness.”
What began as a personal practice gradually evolved into a professional path, grounded in lived experience rather than theory alone.
For people who are new to Reiki or sound healing, Marta encourages openness rather than expectation. “I always tell people not to expect anything specific,” she says. “Every session is different, every practitioner is different, and every body responds in its own way. There is no right or wrong experience, only what is needed in that moment.”
Supporting individuals, schools and workplaces
While Marta offers one-to-one sessions and sound baths primarily in Drogheda, a growing part of her work involves bringing sessions into schools, workplaces and community spaces across County Louth. “In schools, I support students and staff through sessions that combine sound healing with breathwork and gentle grounding exercises,” she explains. “In workplaces, I offer tailored sessions that help teams slow down, reset and reconnect, particularly during high-pressure periods.”
She recently facilitated a session for a corporate HR and management team who rarely shared the same space. “The intention was to bring the team together and create a sense of connection,” Marta says. “After the session, people naturally stayed and talked. You could feel the shift in the room and see it on their faces.”
Sound plays a central role in her work and complements Reiki in a different way. “Reiki supports the body’s natural regulation and self-healing processes,” she explains. “Sound works more directly. It bypasses analysis and reaches the body immediately.”
Creating space for balance and wellbeing
Creating a safe and supportive space is the foundation of everything Marta does. “Safety is the foundation,” she says. “Intention sets the tone for the entire experience.”
People come to her work with a wide range of intentions, including stress, exhaustion, sleep issues, grief and life transitions. Increasingly, she also supports people navigating health challenges or medical treatment. “I see my work as a supportive complement, not a replacement, for medical or therapeutic care,” Marta explains.
The most meaningful moments in her work are often the simplest. “When someone says, ‘I finally feel calm,’ or ‘It feels like a weight has been lifted,’ that’s everything,” she says.
For her own wellbeing, Marta relies on small, consistent rituals rather than perfection. Sea swimming is a weekly non-negotiable. Early mornings are reserved for self-Reiki, sound, matcha and quiet preparation. Reading before bed helps her nervous system settle.
Looking ahead, Marta is most excited about continuing to grow her group work, particularly with students, schools and workplaces. “I truly believe that inner calm is the foundation of genuine happiness,” she says.
