Boyne Valley Camino walk raises funds for sensory garden at Praxis Care Hub

Drogheda Praxis Care clients and staff recently completed the 25 km Boyne Valley Camino walk to fundraise for a sensory garden at the Hub service in Drogheda.

The Hub is a day service that caters for adults with a diagnosis of autism, intellectual disability and/or complex needs located beside the Rugby Club at Ballymakenny Road, offers individualised day activities that promote social inclusion within the local community.

The group walked the entire trail raising over €1200 so far but supporters can still make a donation by clicking on to The Hub’s fundraising page HERE

The garden will help the service users to expand their skills and enjoy the benefits of time spent in nature. Along the way, they visited Tullyallen, Oldbridge, Townley Hall and Mellifont Abbey.

Pierce Delamere, one of the day service attendees who participated in the walk, said the best bit was Tullyallen.
