Drogheda United has announced that James Bolger has agreed a new deal with the club, extending his stay until the end of the 2026 season.
Since joining in July 2024, Bolger has been a consistent performer for the Boynesiders. The defender made an immediate impact, finding the net on his debut in the FAI Cup against Dundalk, and again in the play-off final with Bray Wanderers, which secured the team’s Premier Division place.
Over the past two seasons, the 24-year-old has become a regular feature in the side, making 49 appearances in total.
He’s the fourth player this week to sign on for next season, joining Conor Keeley, Owen Lambe, and Thomas Oluwa in committing their futures to the club.
