A Lotto player in Co. Louth had an extraordinary Saturday night after winning an incredible €1,000,500 in Saturday’s special Lotto Plus Raffle event. The Louth player scooped the special prize after purchasing their winning ticket at Malone’s Londis, Ardee, Co Louth.
The Lotto Plus Raffle typically sees between 60 and 120 winners of €500 in every draw but Saturday night’s draw saw ONE Louth player enjoy an even higher windfall due to a special Raffle event.
Each of the tickets with the winning Lotto Plus Raffle number drawn were entered into a once-off random draw where one ticket was selected to win an additional prize of €1 million. While every ticket holder who had the winning Raffle number won €500, one player has won €1 million, in addition to the usual €500 prize.
The winning Raffle number was: 8275
National Lottery spokesperson Darragh O’Dwyer said:
“What a weekend it’s been for a Lotto player in Louth! Saturday night sure did prove to be reason to celebrate after the Louth player won €1,000,500 in the special Lotto Plus Raffle event, earning them the title of 14th National Lottery millionaire of 2026. The Saturday night winner should now make contact with our Prize Claims team who will make arrangements for them to visit Lottery Headquarters and collect their prize.”
Brian Malone, owner of Malone’s Londis, said:
What a fantastic win for one of our customers here in Ardee! We’re a busy store, proudly serving our local community here in Ardee. There’s huge excitement among the team knowing that one of those shoppers is now a millionaire. We’re absolutely delighted to have sold the winning ticket and want to wish the winner all the best in the future!”
The Louth winner is advised to make contact with the National Lottery prize claims team on 1800 666 222 or email claims@lottery.ie and arrangements will be made for them to collect their prizes in Lottery Headquarters.
