Applications open for Love Drogheda BID Flower Grant Initiative

Love Drogheda BID has announced the return of its popular Flower Grant Initiative for 2026, with applications now open for businesses across the town centre.

The initiative is designed to help brighten Drogheda’s streets with additional floral displays, complementing the planting and displays already installed by Louth County Council.

The scheme operates through a shared funding model, with Love Drogheda BID contributing towards the cost of each hanging basket or window box, while participating ratepayers cover the remaining balance.

Each year, many businesses take part by installing two or more displays outside their premises, with the initiative helping to add more than 100 extra floral displays throughout Drogheda town centre.

Love Drogheda BID says the appearance of the town plays an important role in supporting local businesses and creating a welcoming environment for shoppers, visitors and the wider community.

The organisation says it will continue to invest in projects like the Flower Grant Initiative, alongside other town enhancement projects, aimed at improving the overall look and atmosphere of Drogheda.

Application forms and further information of the Flower Grant 2026 can be downloaded by clicking the button below. Completed forms and accompanying photos and receipts should be returned to hello@lovedrogheda.ie by 5pm Friday 19th June 2026.

The Flower Grant is a competitive process and has a limited budget therefore grants will be awarded on a first-come-first-serve basis.

Love Drogheda BID will award a maximum of €200 per business towards the installation of flower baskets or window boxes or a watering system.
