There will be a water outage this Thursday in the North Drogheda area, Uisce Eireann has confirmed.
It will take place between 10am to 4pm and supply will be disrupted in the Newtownstalaban, Beaulieu, Queensborough, Baltray, Shetland Road, Seapoint Road, Termonfeckin village, Termonfeckin Road and surrounding areas in North Drogheda.
The water supply is being switched off to facilitate essential works to the existing water network and the outage is necessary.
Sinead Kennedy of Uisce Eireann has assured affected customers that crews will complete the work as quickly as possible to restore normal water supply.
She said:” We acknowledge the inconvenience caused by a planned outage and we thank customers in advance for their patience while we carry out these essential works.”
It normally takes two to three hours following repairs for the normal supply to be restored to all customers.
But she warned it may take longer to restore the service to customers on higher ground or at the end of the water network.
Updates on the work will also be posted on the Uisce Eireann Supply and Service map by entering the following reference number in the search bar on water.ie LOU00097073.
