The HSE has confirmed that all DkIT 2026 graduate nurses seeking full-time positions will be recruited across the Louth Meath Integrated Healthcare Area.

The clarification follows concerns raised by Louth TD Ged Nash over uncertainty facing graduates who trained across hospitals in the North East.

In a response to Drogheda Life, the HSE said:

“Integrated Healthcare Area Louth Meath will be recruiting all DKIT 2026 graduate nurses who are seeking full-time positions. Graduates will be offered employment in sites across the integrated healthcare area. Recruitment is underway and will continue into 2027.”

The DkIT graduating class includes students who trained across hospitals including Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Drogheda, Louth County Hospital, Cavan General Hospital, Monaghan Hospital and Navan.
