Drogheda United return to action on Friday evening, facing St. Patrick’s Athletic in the first game after the mid-season break.
The Boynesiders head into this game following a 3-3 draw against Waterford a fortnight ago.
Waterford scored in the first minute through Tommy Lonergan after a mix up at the back before Kevin Long made it 2-0 twenty minutes later.
Mark Doyle got a goal back on 27 minutes, heading Brandon Kavanagh’s free kick past McMullan.
A superb strike from Shane Farrell brought the game level on 58 minutes before Ryan Brennan’s diving header made it 3-2 with twenty minutes to play.
However, Waterford found an equaliser late on as Benny Couto fired past Talley from distance.
St Patrick’s Athletic have won both games against Drogheda so far this season, winning 4-1 at Richmond Park in March and 3-1 at Sullivan & Lambe Park a month later in April.
In team news, Owen Lambe and Warren Davis remain sidelined through injury, while Scott Brady, Bridel Bosakani, James Bolger, Conor Keeley and Jason Bucknor are doubtful as they continue their recovery from injury.
