Drogheda Arts Festival returns this May Bank Holiday Weekend

The Drogheda Arts Festival (DAF) is back, live and in person, this May Bank Holiday weekend and the organisers have issued an invitation for everyone to come celebrate with them. 

Today they announced the festival dates, Thursday 28th April – Monday 2nd May 2022, as DAF returns to the streets and venues of Drogheda to celebrate live, in-person events with friends and family.

“Over the coming weeks, DAF will be announcing their programme of exciting in -person events, venues and partners, and bringing you national and international in-door, out-door and site-specific performances, along with visual arts exhibitions, music, spoken word, theatre, literature, circus, spectacle, street and family shows and workshops” said a spokesperson.

For the festival’s first programme announcement, DAF welcomes national and international musicians to Drogheda. 

Lead singer from Irish world music band Kila, Rónán Ó Snodaigh joins his friend and producer Myles O’Reilly to perform their new album ‘Tá Go Maith’ in the beautiful surroundings of Gerrards Church on Friday April 29th.

An exclusive for DAF and Irish music fans, internationally acclaimed musician Scott McCloud will be performing live with his band Paramount Styles in Droichead Arts Centre on Saturday April 30th. This exclusive first Irish performance is brought to you by Drogheda Arts Festival and ‘thirtythree-45’.

Paramount Styles will perform at Drogheda Arts Festival 2022.
