Baking, magic and music make it a busy Easter at Boomerang

The Easter break was always a busy time at the Boomerang Youth Club and this Easter it was back to normal with a myriad of activities taking place with lots of groups and camps for all ages covering a large variety of interests.

The fun began on a sticky but tasty note with a “cakes and bakes” cooking camp which was followed by the “Be Active” camp.

Another very popular and successful event was the Easter Treasure Hunt which took participants all over Drogheda in search of the golden Ticket.

It was back into the kitchen in the second week of Easter for a taste buds cooking camp and then there was a recording session in the club’s “Basement Sounds” recording studio where some young people learnt how to create and record their own music to go along with some poetry.

The final camp involved circus and magic tricks in a camp at which participants learned how to make their own juggling balls and how to do some magic tricks.

The Easter celebrations ended with an open mic night which was extremely popular and proof, if it were needed, that the young people of Drogheda are as musical as their parents and indeed their grandparents.
