Youth Connect Fest 2026 is set to return, with clubs and services across Drogheda invited to take part in this year’s event.
The showcase of activities for children and young people will take place on Saturday, February 7, 2026, from 2pm to 5pm at the Barbican Centre. The event is organised by the SICAP Network of Youth Services for Drogheda and will once again highlight the wide range of opportunities available locally.
Youth Connect Fest aims to connect young people with the many clubs, activities, supports and services on offer in the town. On the day, organisations involved in sport, dance, art, music, scouting and other areas will have the chance to showcase what they do. The event will also feature entertainment and a fashion show, creating a lively and engaging atmosphere for attendees.
The SICAP Network of Youth Services is a group of local organisations that work together to plan and coordinate support for young people in Drogheda. The network is facilitated by the Social Inclusion Community Activation Programme team at Louth Local Development and is focused on improving wellbeing, expanding educational opportunities and strengthening advocacy for young people across the community.
This will be the third year of Youth Connect Fest, and feedback from previous events has been overwhelmingly positive. More than 2,000 people attended last year’s festival, giving clubs and services a valuable platform to showcase the positive impact they have on young people’s lives. Many organisations reported that taking part helped them build awareness, recruit new members and attract new volunteers, while also boosting confidence and self esteem among young participants.
Clubs, groups and services interested in taking part are encouraged to get involved.
Organisations can contact christina.king@lldc.ie to secure a stand at the event. Participation is free of charge.
