The Irish Wheelchair Association (IWA) will hold its biggest fundraising event of the year next Thursday, September 25th, with members, staff, and volunteers collecting donations across Louth and nationwide.
The annual Fundraising Day aims to raise €60,000 to support IWA’s services, which help people with disabilities to live with independence, choice, and social connection.
Collections will take place across Ireland, including at selected Aldi stores in Louth, with funds directly supporting local members as well as the organisation’s nationwide work.
Breige McGinn, Head of Fundraising at IWA, expressed gratitude for the effort behind the event:
“We want to say a huge thank you to all the members, volunteers, and staff who support IWA on our Annual Fundraising Day each year – as well as our generous supporters across the country.
“Without them, it would not be possible to raise these vital funds. Thanks to their support, IWA can continue helping our members live independently, advocate for their rights, and develop their potential.”
Donations can be made to on-street collectors on the day or anytime online at www.iwa.ie/donate.
