Uisce Éireann is calling on consumers in Louth to sign up for its free text alert service to stay informed as a major programme of water infrastructure upgrades continues.
The company is investing over €10 billion over the next five years, which will see hundreds of projects underway across Ireland. While this work will improve water quality and supply, it will inevitably cause short-term disruptions.
The free text service provides real-time updates on water outages, boil water notices, and other supply interruptions. This information is delivered directly to your phone, helping you prepare for any planned or unplanned disruptions.
Currently, over 250,000 people across the country are already benefiting from the service, with nearly 8,000 of them in County Louth. Uisce Éireann is encouraging everyone to sign up now and not wait until an outage affects them.
Signing up is quick and easy. Simply visit water.ie and enter your Eircode and mobile number. The service is free and available to all households and businesses.
