Do you want to step back in time and watch what it’s like to be a 17th century soldier?
You will have your chance at Oldbridge House, the site of the Battle of the Boyne on Saturday and Sunday, August 23th and24th as part of national heritage week.
Between 11am -4pm each day you can enjoy Laoch Living History and see what the old soldiers had to do under their Drill Sergeant.
You may get the opportunity to go face to face with a musketeer, artillery gunner, pikemen, halberdiers, barber-surgeons, blacksmiths,gunners, sulters, monks and soldiers from all over 17th century Europe.
On each of the days at 2pm you can also join costumed historian Tola Collier for a battlefield walk where you can discover the tactics , strategy , geography and personalities on the killing fields.
The meeting point for the battlefield walk is at the very front of Oldbridge House.
