Santo Sospir, trained by Gordon Elliott, continued his impressive run with a third win from four starts in the 2m1f Munster Hurdle at Clonmel last Thursday. The 4-5 favourite proved his quality, finishing nine lengths clear under Jack Kennedy, who eased the horse down in the closing stages.
The race became easier for Santo Sospir when Willie Mullins’ second favourite, Charlus, fell at the penultimate flight while attempting to challenge.
Santo Sospir and Jack Kennedy skipped the last hurdle confidently to secure a comfortable victory in the Munster Hurdle at Clonmel.
