Return of Boomerang’s February Midterm Workshops

Boomerang Youth Café are holding their annual February midterm workshops from Monday 13th to Friday 17th February.

The workshops will take place at Boomerang Youth Café in Fair Street Drogheda, for a total of five days with a wide variety of creative events and activities taking place including baking, cooking, creative writing, and game design.

The series of workshops will begin on Monday 13th from 10am until 1 pm, with a ‘Junk Percussion’ workshop which offers young people the chance to make shakers, drums, and other percussion instruments using everyday items and recyclable materials. The workshop will cost €5, with a total capacity of eight places.

‘Baking Brigade’ will take place on Tuesday from 10 am until 1 pm. The baking class will teach seniors how to make delicious desserts. The baking class will cost €8, with a total capacity of 12 places.

On Wednesday, the creative writing workshop ‘Left to Write’ will run from 10 am to 1 pm offering young people the opportunity to express their creativity and ideas through writing. This three-hour workshop will cost €5 with a total capacity of 10 places.

‘Meta Gaming’, a game development workshop, will take place on Thursday from 10 am until 2 pm. Young game developers will learn how to create their own games and various practical technology-related skills. The workshop will cost €5, with a total capacity of 8 places.

The one-week series of workshops ends on Friday 17th February with ‘Taste Buds’. ‘Taste Buds’ is a cooking class aimed towards juniors, teaching them how to cook delicious recipes. The class will cost €8, with a total capacity of 12 places.
