Voters are being urged to make sure they are on the Electoral Register ahead of the Presidential Election on Friday, 24 October 2025.
To vote, you must be an Irish citizen aged 18 or over on polling day, ordinarily resident in the State, and listed on the register. The deadline to register or update your details is Tuesday, 7 October.
Applications can be made quickly online at www.checktheregister.ie, with paper forms also available in Ardee, Dundalk, and Drogheda.
Cathaoirleach Cllr Seán Kelly reminded voters: “This is your chance to help shape Ireland’s future — but first, you need to be on the register. Don’t wait, check today.”
Applications for postal and special votes must be made in paper form by Monday, 29 September.
