Important Notice: St Patrick’s Day Parade Route Change
Organisers of the Drogheda St Patrick’s Day Parade have announced a change to the final section of the parade route due to an emerging health and safety risk.
The parade will now cross St Mary’s Bridge, continue down Marsh Road and disperse at Scotch Hall Shopping Centre.
Members of the public are asked to follow the instructions of stewards and observe signage along the revised route on the day.
Please note: Road closures will be in place tomorrow, Tuesday 17th March, to allow the St Patrick’s Day parade to pass through the town.
The following roads will be closed from 10am until 2:30pm:
- King Street
- Palace Street
- Laurence’s Street
- West Street
- Dominic Street
- Wellington Quay
- Port area
Organisers have thanked everyone for their understanding and cooperation and encouraged the community to continue supporting the St Patrick’s Day celebrations in Drogheda.
