The Culture Connect Project (Integration and Advancement Ladder for International Protection Seekers) in County Louth has been awarded €98,000 in funding to support local integration initiatives.
The announcement was welcomed by Fine Gael Councillor Ejiro Stratton, who said the Integration Fund helps community organisations across Ireland play a stronger role in promoting inclusion and supporting migrants to settle into their local areas.
“I’m delighted to see this funding for County Louth,” said Cllr Stratton. “The work of these groups deserves to be recognised and commended. Migration affects communities, and by working together we can make our society stronger and more cohesive.”
Across Ireland, 117 community-based projects will share more than €3.6 million under the 2025 Integration Fund. The schemes aim to help newcomers connect with local communities while supporting inclusion and mutual understanding.
Cllr Stratton said she was especially pleased to see support for the Culture Connect Project, which works tirelessly to promote integration and inclusion across Louth.
“It’s through cooperation and understanding that we can build better communities and make Ireland a better place to live for everyone,” she said.
