TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF ROAD
Section 75 Roads Act, 1993
(Roads Regulations 1994)
Louth County Council hereby gives notice of its intention to close the following roads for the purpose of Lú Festival of Light 2026;
- West St (R900) from its junction with Fr Connolly Way (L-77008) to its junction with Shop St (R900) / St Peters St (L-1674)
- St Laurence St (L-1671) from its junction with Shop St (R900) / St Peters St (L-1674) to its junction with Palace St (L-16711)
- Palace St (L-16711) from its junction with St Laurence St (L-1671) along the one-way section of Palace St (L-16711)
- Duke St (L-16745) from its junction with Fair St (L-16744) to its junction with West St (R900)
The road closure will be from Friday 23 rd October – Monday 26 th October 2026 from 5.45pm to 10pm daily.
Diversions for traffic will be in place, as per the Traffic Management Design.
All Emergency access will be provided during the closure.
Any person who wishes to object to any of the closures should lodge an objection in writing (envelope clearly marked “Road Closure objection” to the undersigned not later than 4 pm on 09/10/2026.
