Louth County Council publishes 2025 Gender pay gap report

Louth County Council has released its 2025 Gender Pay Gap report, outlining the average pay difference between men and women across the organisation. This year’s report shows a gender pay gap of 1.03%, with male employees earning slightly more on average.

As required under Irish legislation, all employers with 50 or more staff must publish their gender pay gap data annually. For local authorities, the data is based on the 30 June reference date.

Chief Executive David Conway said the publication supports the Council’s ongoing efforts to remove workplace barriers, promote diversity and maintain an inclusive environment for all employees. He added that while many equality and inclusion initiatives are already in place, the Council will continue to monitor progress and share best practice across the sector.
