n a surprising twist that has caught many music fans off guard, American country superstar Luke Combs has been announced as the headline act for Slane Castle on Saturday, 18th July 2026, as part of his “My Kinda Saturday Night Tour.”
While speculation in recent weeks pointed towards possible headliners such as U2 or Coldplay, the announcement of Combs brings a fresh country sound to the historic Meath venue.
Combs will be joined by special guests The Script, Ty Myers and The Castellows, with gates opening from 3:00 PM. Presale tickets will be available from Wednesday, 15th October at 10:00 AM, with general tickets on sale Friday, 17th October. The concert remains subject to licence.
The performance adds a new chapter to the legacy of Slane Castle, which has hosted some of the biggest names in global music since Thin Lizzy headlined the inaugural concert in 1981. Past acts include U2, The Rolling Stones, Madonna, Queen, Bob Dylan, Robbie Williams, David Bowie, Bruce Springsteen, Kings of Leon, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Oasis, REM and Metallica.
Fans can expect a major summer event as Slane welcomes one of country music’s biggest stars to the stage.
