Women across Louth and Meath are being urged to get out and get exercising this month.
The call comes from Sport Ireland as HER Outdoors week gets underway across the country for the fifth year running.
It will be held from August 11th to 17th and encourages women of all ages to get involved in outdoor activities and sports.
The core aim is to get more women and girls to embrace the great outdoors, to try something new and discover the joy, freedom and community the outdoors offers.
The events being organised in Louth over the week include nordic beach walking, sea swimming, sunrise hike, kayaking and pitch and putt.
There are also fitness bootcamps and couch to 5k programmes.
