Gardai are investigating a public order incident that happened last night in the Drogheda area.
It is understood it occurred at Newtownstalaban on the outskirts of the town at around 7.10pm.
A man in his forties was brought by ambulance to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital for treatment of non life threatening injuries.
The road in the area was sealed off and the scene was held for technical examination overnight. This has now been lifted.
Gardai say the investigation into the incident is ongoing. No one has been arrested or charged yet.
