Drogheda Comic Con is back at the Barbican Centre on Saturday, 27th September, following last year’s sold-out success.
Fans can look forward to world-class costumes from the 501st, Reel Icons, and Nexu Covert, along with kids’ and adults’ cosplay competitions hosted by Bellisme Cosplays and Phoebe Cosplays.
This year’s special guest is Mary Gibbs, the voice of Boo in Pixar’s groundbreaking Monsters Inc.. Flying in from San Francisco for her first ever Irish appearance, Mary will meet fans and take part in a live chat about her voice work, which also includes Baby Kiara in The Lion King 2 and Baby Riley in Inside Out.
Also appearing is Michael Carroll, known for writing Judge Dredd stories for 2000AD and Judge Dredd Megazine, as well as novels including Dreadnoughts. Damon Driver, who played Sgt. Duffy in the Captain America films and has appeared across the Star Wars universe, will share his experiences from both franchises.
Comic Con visitors can browse numerous tables packed with comics, retro and modern action figures, Pokémon cards, Lego, local art, collectibles, and unique gift ideas from across fandoms.
