Ace Athletic Club celebrated a landmark day at the National Even Ages Cross Country Championships in Derry, with five athletes bringing home national medals across the U18 and U20 categories.
The club’s medal winners were:
- Lorcan Forde Dunne (Youth Olympian)– won a national medal in the U18 boys
- Eimear Cooney – National bronze medal in the U20 girls and selected for the Irish team for the European U20 Cross Country Championships
- Sholah Lawrence – won a national medal in the U18 girls
- Chloe Cooney – won a national medal in the U18 girls
- Ace AC U18 Girls Team (Eimear Cooney, Sholah Lawrence, Chloe Cooney, and Ciara O’Connor) – National team bronze medal
The Louth county team, featuring Ace AC’s U18 girls plus Dearbhla Allen of St Peter’s AC, also claimed a County Team Bronze.
It was a hugely successful outing for Ace AC, marking one of the strongest national results in the club’s history.
