Festive Christmas craft market brings seasonal Magic to Slane Castle

Slane Castle is set to sparkle with festive cheer as it opens its doors for a special Christmas Craft Market, inviting visitors to enjoy a seasonal shopping experience in one of Ireland’s most iconic settings.

The historic ground floor of the castle will be transformed into a festive marketplace, featuring a wide selection of handcrafted gifts and artisan stalls. Visitors will have the opportunity to browse unique, locally made products, making it the perfect place to find thoughtful and one of a kind Christmas presents.

Outside, the Castle Courtyard will be buzzing with activity as food stalls serve seasonal treats alongside piping hot festive drinks. Christmas carols will add to the atmosphere, creating a warm and welcoming backdrop for a winter visit to the Boyne Valley landmark.

The Christmas Craft Market will take place across the ground floor of the castle and the Castle Courtyard, offering something for all ages. Whether visitors are planning a family day out, a festive shopping trip, or a prelude to an evening of seasonal celebrations, the event promises a memorable experience.

Admission prices are set at four euro per person for pedestrian access or six euro per car, with up to five occupants per vehicle. Children under 12 can attend free of charge when accompanied by one paying adult.

Advance booking is strongly advised. Parking slots are limited to a maximum of 90 minutes to help manage visitor flow throughout the day. Visitors are encouraged to book a car park pass or pedestrian access ticket in advance via Eventbrite to avoid disappointment.

Pedestrian access tickets cost three euro when booked online in advance through Eventbrite, or four euro per person on the day. Car parking passes, priced at six euro per car, must also be booked in advance to secure a space.

With its combination of festive shopping, seasonal food, live carols and the stunning surroundings of Slane Castle, the Christmas Craft Market offers a perfect opportunity to soak up the holiday atmosphere and support local artisans in the lead up to Christmas.
