🎪 The Lonesome Boatman — A Circus-Theatre Adventure

Get ready for a joyful circus-theatre experience as Ouch Productions & Colm O’Grady present The Lonesome Boatman. Full of music, laughter, and clowning — with a gentle nod to climate change — this imaginative show promises fun for all the family. Expect giggles, wonder, and a little magic along the way!


🎃 The Drogheda Credit Union Spooks Parade

Fri 24 Oct | 6.15PM | Town Centre | Presented by Kada Ka Boom Arts & Droichead Arts Centre

The ghouls are back! Drogheda’s streets will transform once again for the Spooks Parade, officially kicking off the LÚ Festival of Light in frightfully fun style. Featuring students from Scoil Aonghusa, Marymount NS, Scoil an Spioraid Naoimh (Laytown), and Whitecross (Julianstown), the parade invites everyone to join the spooky spectacle — costumes encouraged!


🐭 The Adventures of Shay Mouse – The Mouse from Longford

Based on Pat McCabe’s beloved children’s book, The Adventures of Shay Mouse has been joyfully adapted and performed by Padraic McIntyre and Shane Carroll. Packed with songs, humour, and delightful regional accents, this inventive show celebrates friendship, curiosity, and the joy of storytelling. A real treat for younger audiences!


🥚 Dr Jay’s Amazing Eggs-ploration — Circus 250

How strong is an egg? What keeps bridges standing tall? And what in the world is torsional stress?
TV scientist Dr Jay Ryan, well-known from RTÉ Junior, brings science to life through his hilarious and interactive show Dr Jay’s Amazing Eggs-ploration. Expect mind-bending experiments, laughter, and plenty of “wow!” moments for curious kids.


🎨 Claytime — Protours

Wed 29 Oct | 12.30PM & 2.30PM | Ages 4–6 | Droichead Arts Centre

A story made of clay — and the audience helps create it! Claytime is a charming, improvised performance where children shape the story as it unfolds, followed by 20 minutes of hands-on clay play. Perfect for little artists who love to get creative and messy.
