The venue has been organised, and the vendors of the first-ever Crafty Traders Market in Drogheda are all set for its launch by having a bumper weekend taking place Saturday the 26th and Sunday the 27th of August from 11 am to 4 pm each day in the Barbican Centre on William Street.
The event will see a total of 40 vendors each day with an incredible array of handcrafted products on display. From artwork to crochet, aromatherapy to bake goods there is sure to be something there for everyone.
The committee has worked hard to go through all the applications received from a vast number of incredibly talented crafters looking to showcase their products at the event.
“The committee and I have been absolutely blown away with the number of incredible crafters that applied for a space at the market, and we can’t wait to share the talent on offer with everyone who visits Crafty Traders Market this weekend,” said Olivia Conlon, one of the organisers of the Crafty Traders Market.
The committee for Crafty Traders Market, which is made up of 4 local crafters, got together as they wanted more opportunities in Drogheda for crafters to showcase their talents and get their products out there. After a meeting with Barbican Manager Declan Power who was keen to come on board and join the committee, a venue was secured, and what started as an idea quickly became a reality.
“The Crafty Traders Market brings an exciting new opportunity for small business to build brand awareness in the community of Drogheda,” says committee member Centaine Flood who encourages everyone to “shop local and support a creator’s dream.”
“With all that said, we hope to see as many people as possible head down to the Barbican Centre in Drogheda this weekend and show your support to local small businesses. You can grab a coffee and maybe even a delicious cake from one of our vendors and browse the lovely items on offer. This is an event not to be missed!”
