Drogheda event to explore further education options for students with additional needs

Autism Support Louth is running a special event on November 24 at ABACAS Special School in Congress Avenue, Drogheda to explore the further education options available to students of the autism/special needs community in Louth, Meath and the surrounding areas.

The Exhibition aims to showcase the opportunities available to school leavers with additional needs to facilitate both parents and school leavers from all schools to become aware and informed of what services are available and to empower them to make an informed decision for their future.

Service providers will have the opportunity to speak directly with parents and or students in detail about the options their organisations can provide.

Participants include DKIT, Praxiscare, National Learning Network, Rehab, The Talbot Group, The Order of Malta, DIFE, Prosper Meath, Embrace, Youthreach and also representation from the HSE and NCSE and many more.

“This is an opportunity for parents and students with additional needs to gather information to help them make choices about their future” said spokesperson Jacinta Walsh.

“All are welcome and we would encourage parents of children aged 15 years and upwards to attend. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact me on 087 240 7431 or email info@autismsupportlouth.com
