Drogheda Digital Hub Launches DigiBytes Programme to Power Local Start-Up Innovation

The Drogheda Digital Hub has taken an exciting step forward in fostering innovation and entrepreneurship in the North East with the launch of its very first DigiBytes programme.

The opening session, held on November 6th, brought together twelve emerging start-ups developing creative ideas in the tech space. Guided by industry expert Louisa Maher, participants gained valuable insights into platform development, digital strategy, and early-stage business growth.

Each start-up will continue to benefit from tailored mentoring and access to workspace and facilities at the Drogheda Digital Hub, helping them turn their ideas into viable ventures.

The next DigiBytes session will take place on November 20th, focusing on Digital Health. This workshop is designed for anyone with innovative ideas in healthcare technology — including those just starting out. It will feature specialists from the Digi Bio Innovator Programme and Connected Health Programme at Dundalk Institute of Technology (DKIT), offering a fully funded, one-night intensive workshop packed with practical guidance and inspiration.

Looking to 2026, the Hub plans to host an AgriTech DigiByte, encouraging innovation in the agricultural sector. It will also partner with DKIT’s Thrive Programme to roll out Thrive @ Drogheda Digital, a wider initiative supporting entrepreneurs across the region.

The Drogheda Digital Hub continues to grow as a vibrant space for collaboration, creativity, and start-up success empowering local innovators to bring their ideas to life.
