The Drogheda Cycling Group is asking owners of property that is currently vacant in Drogheda town to consider allowing the group to use their vacant premises on a temporary basis.
The group intends to use this space to host bicycle repair workshops and to store old bicycles gifted to the group.
Chairperson Noel Hogan said:
“The Drogheda Cycling Group has been steadily growing over the past six months and now we want to expand the services we offer to the citizens of Drogheda.
“There are probably many bicycles in Drogheda that have been sitting, unused, in garages all over town.
“We hope to be able to establish a restoration and repair service to allow these bicycles to be brought back to productive use. For this to happen, we need a premises to work in.
“If there is anyone out there with some space that they could let us use we would be very happy to talk to them – we can be contacted on facebook, twitter, Instagram or at droghedacycling@gmail.com“
