The deadline for students applying to a bursary scheme launched by Lakeland Dairies is fast approaching. Interested applicants have until 30th September 2024 to submit their applications for this valuable opportunity.
The Lakeland Dairies Pathway to a Better Future Bursary will provide a €2,000 / £2,000 bursary to six students to support their academic journey. These bursaries are open to children of Lakeland Dairies’ 3,200 farm families and of the co-op’s staff, with three awards to be made in Northern Ireland and three in the Republic of Ireland.
This Lakeland Dairies bursary programme is intended for students in undergraduate or higher-level degrees in areas closely aligned with the co-operative’s operations, including agricultural science, dairy science and engineering.
The Pathway to a Better Future initiative is a key part of Lakeland Dairies’ Sustainability Strategy, demonstrating a commitment to education and innovation within the agricultural sector.
